Does the saxophonist play all night?
Our saxophonists are usually booked for a two-hour service, performing at selected moments throughout that time rather than playing continuously from start to finish.
They work alongside the DJ, choosing the right moments to lift the energy, join the dance floor and create standout live performances, while the DJ keeps the music flowing seamlessly throughout the evening.
Can the saxophonist play during cocktails and dancing?
Yes. A saxophonist can add a relaxed, jazzy atmosphere to cocktail hour, bring high-energy live moments to the dance floor later in the evening, or do both.
We can tailor the performance around the flow of your wedding so the sax enhances the mood early on and then helps lift the party when it’s time to celebrate.
Can we request particular songs?
Yes. Our saxophonists can improvise over almost any style of music, so most requests can be incorporated naturally into the performance.
If there’s a special song you’d love featured, the saxophonist can also learn it in advance, giving you a personalised live moment that feels unique to your wedding.
Does saxophone replace the DJ?
The two work together. The DJ mixes the music and responds to the room; the saxophonist adds a live performance during agreed sets.
Can we book outside Auckland?
Tell us your date and venue. We confirm available saxophonists, the DJ combination and any travel requirements for Waiheke or other regions.
